Back Inside Without a Broken Door
Getting locked out of the house has a particular kind of sting to it. The door pulls shut behind you, the keys are on the hall table, and suddenly you’re standing on your own porch with nowhere to go. It happens with groceries in hand, with a toddler already inside, at six in the morning, and on Christmas Day.
We come to you anywhere in the Treasure Valley and open the door properly — the aim is always to work the lock open rather than force or drill it. In the overwhelming majority of houses that’s exactly what happens, and you’re left with the same door, the same frame and the same lock you had that morning.

Most residential lockouts come down to the same handful of situations. Here’s what we deal with most often, and what to expect when you call.
Standard locks and deadbolts
The great majority of homes in the valley run a knob lock with a deadbolt above it, and both are well within normal scope. We work the lock rather than force it, so your door and frame stay intact. If you have a high-security or smart lock fitted, mention the brand when you call and we’ll tell you honestly on the phone whether we can help before anyone drives out.
Emergency lockouts, day or night
Calls are answered around the clock, including weekends and holidays. If a child or a pet is shut inside, or if something is cooking on the stove, say so the moment you call — those jobs go straight to the front of the queue. And if you have any doubt at all about someone’s safety inside, call 911 first, then call us.
Re-keying and lock changes
If the reason you’re locked out is a lost key rather than a shut door, getting back in solves only half the problem — that key is still out there somewhere. While we’re at the house we can re-pin your locks to a fresh key, or fit new hardware if you’d prefer. There’s more detail on the re-keying page.
Home Lockouts
Keys inside, door shut, nobody else home. We open residential doors without damaging the lock or the frame, and we’re usually there well before a locksmith shop opens.
Auto Lockouts
Keys locked in the car, engine running or not. We open the vehicle and get you on your way. Note that we open cars only — we don’t cut or program replacement keys.
Home Rekeying
New tenant, lost key, or a spare you’d rather wasn’t out there. We re-pin your existing locks to a brand-new key, so old keys stop working. New locks supplied and fitted if you’d prefer.
